Who We Are

D.I.R.T. was started in 2024 by a husband & wife, whose entire passion is recreating outdoors. Started in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, where the land and the people are deeply connected. We began by working for our local county government to design and build outdoor infrastructure that had never existed here before. In doing so, we quickly realized that many of our neighbors didn’t have the resources or support to create and maintain trails on their own. That insight inspired our mission: to combine education with sustainable trail building so communities across Eastern Kentucky and beyond can take pride in their landscapes and care for them for generations. By equipping local people with the knowledge and tools to build responsibly, D.I.R.T. is helping ensure that the trails of today become a legacy for tomorrow.
